Becoming Community

Leadership Development
You may grow into leadership at Sunnyside in the fol- lowing ways:

  • Ministry Match Appointments
by appointment with Pastors Brent, or Darren or other leadership team members. Complete online profile and meet to discuss your temperament, leadership style, participation style, ministry gifts, and ministry values to discern your best place to serve.
  • Engaging in Service/Discipleship
a “servant spirit” is one of the pre-requisites for leadership. Be intentional about serving in the areas of your gifts at Sunnyside. Being a Christ-follower is another pre-requisite for leadership. Engage in the life of the church in ways that encourage you as a disciple of Jesus, and live as one who loves and lives for Jesus in every aspect of life.
  • Mentoring; Some „Sunnysiders‟ from all three congregations have been trained as mentors. There is a formal process being developed to link mentors with people interested in being mentored. If you would like to be partnered as mentor with a person wishing to be mentored or you would like to be mentored at Sunnyside Downtown, please speak to Pastor Joel. If you are from the 9:00am Grosvenor Service, please speak to Pastor Darren, and if you are from the 11:00am Grosvenor Service, please contact Pastor Brent.
